Informationen/information |
This very nicely built Riley was first registered on the 7th April 1936 .
Starting life as a Falcon saloon car it was converted to its current form in the Late 90s. There is a continuation old style log book detailing the ownership from 1958 to 1970’s when the car was in Flintshire, Wales A V5 document records a change of keeper in the late 90s and again in 2000 who is the last recorded UK keeper. The last keeper states he purchased the car from a motor dealer in Milton. The car was registered with the VSCC by the him and used in some local events in Yorkshire , and possibly a VSCC event at Silverstone. It is believed the car was purchased by the current Italian owner in 2003/4 but Italian registration documents were never obtained. The car was used occasionally in Italy on ‘PROVA’ plates ( equivalent to our trade plates) but has essentially remained a static exhibit for the last few years. Presented in extremely nice condition with the correct amount of patina the car would require light service and re-commissioning before returning to regular use. There are old MOT certificates and the buff style log book as well as a V5 so returning the car to the road in the UK would be straightforward. First time on the market for many years this is a rare opportunity to acquire a vintage riley with VSCC papers which would be eligible for many competitive events.
