Informationen/information |
This super little Riley is a competitive race, sprint or hill climb special , eligible for vintage events.
Built nearly 15 years ago on a 9hp Merlin chassis , it has a highly tuned 12/4 engine using Arrow rods, shell bearings, lightened valve gear and special cams. It is fitted with a close ratio silent third gearbox. The chassis has been drilled and lightened, and the whole car weighs only 650 kg. It has a Brookland style alloy body , and is currently a single seater , but a passenger seat could easily be added. It is equipped with 19 inch wire wheels fitted with Dunlop racing tyres. The Riley is road registered and has a current V5C. The car has been used extensively in vintage racing during the last 10 years , and no expense has been spared to keep it up to the mark, in fact it was enjoyed at Oulton Park last month, and it is ready to go. A lightweight trailer is available if required. This Riley is only reluctantly for sale due to the advancing age of the owner , and will surely prove to be very competitive in the hands of a keen driver. |
