| weitere Informationen/more infos | Originally built in the late 1980's from complete strip down to bare chassis. All mechanical work by the Barrie Gillies and new body by Dick Woodruff all based on ADU 28 (owned by Barrie Gillies). Work carried out between late 2010 and early 2011: Gearbox: Complete strip down and rebuild by Tom Dark Engine Rebuild: All work carried out by CMC (Classic Motor Cars) of Bridgnorth. Specialists in all aspects of classic cars works, restored first ever E-Type, recently won a national award for restoration of Klockner-Linder E-Type. Cylinder block stripped and minor cracks repaired. All boring, white metal work etc by Formhalls. Crankshaft and rods crack tested and ground. Bearings white metalled and bored. New cam shafts (fast road) supplied by Keith Pointing. Cylinder block bored to + 20. New pistons, rings, valve followers (tufftrided), push rod ends, push rods, valves, valve springs, colelts, damper friction spring and discs. All ancilliaries checked over and rebuilt, carbs stripped and rebuilt. Parts from Riely register. Engine rebuilt, run in, dyno tested and adjusted, now running at +71 bhp @ 3325 rpm, Torque approx. 110 lbft. |
