weitere Informationen/more info | A pre-war special that has been regularly campaigned with the VSCC and is also a hugely fun road car. As the documents and photos on file testify to, an enormous amount of thought and funds went into building this very special car, with particular focus on the power to weight ratio and balance. The car was built using an 1930 Austin 7 chassis, custom made 'GN' style front axle, a competition prepared 1928 Riley 9 engine and gearbox, and with a Brooklands-style aluminium body. The combination of these factors make for a great handling and fast sports car, capable of 90mph (if you are brave) and regularly hassling much more powerful cars where it has raced, including Prescott, Loton Park, Silverstone, and Donnington. The engine specification includes Phoenix crank and rods, Treen inlet cam, Imp exhaust cam, H/C pistons, and has a full flow oil system. The gearbox has Brooklands ratios and is connected to a seriously lightened flywheel and clutch. The car has Marchal headlights and has a phenomenally good-looking body. The tail section is removable to access the battery, petrol tank and fuel pump. The car has just returned from a full brake rebuild at Brewster Mudie, and earlier in the year had an extensive post-winter service and tune-up also at Brewster Mudie. The car comes with 4 spare tires (two of which have new Blockley tires on), two spare basic front wings, and a number of other parts. There are extensive documents and photos of the car’s build, which really show the level of workmanship and detail that went into its creation.
