The Riley was built on a period narrowed Riley 9 chassis. The engine is a 1930 Barrie Gillies prepared (White Riley fame) a steel billet crank and H section rods. The supercharger is a Volumex running off a bevel box same as ERA with a special bottle neck 1 7/8”dia carb with twin floats.. The body is a special by Royles at Staindrop. The gearbox is a preslector Armstrong Siddley with a works Riley lightened 4.5-1 ratio back axle. Large vented drum brakes. Suspension is bound leaf springs front and back with adjustable shocks. All major components dated 1930 to 1935.
The car was stored in a garage for many years until I purchased her.Engine stripped and rebuilt with a new head and mods to the oil system to improve pressure and improvements to the ignition and fuel system.
