weitere Informationen/more info | Originating from Victoria, from a Monaco bread van, converted in the 80's, the car was raced in Victoria, Australia for some years as a sans car in hill climbs and speed events, such as Rob Roy hill climb and the Geelong Sprints, as well as at Phillip Island. Joe Ricciardo, (father of F1 driver Daniel) purchased the car in the mid 90's and had the aluminium body made locally in Western Australia. The cars first outing was the 2001, 50th Anniversary of the Australian Grad Prix held in the country town of Narrogin. The car has been evented in round the houses in Northam, and the reinactment of the first GP in Perth at Applecross. Other than that, the car retains much of the characteristic of a Riley Brooklands, running the original brakes, wheels, gear box, and electrics, with some modifications. Since owning the car from Nov 2006, the car has gone through an extensive engine rebuild, using Omega pistons, balanced rods, numerous upgrades to the oil pump and system, full strip down. |
