| Informationen/information | Over 10,000 man hours were spent to create this little gem of a car. The coachwork is simply spectacular with styling cues of Mercedes SSK, Low Chassis Invicta & SS100 to be found in its delicate lines. The engine is a jewel like fully rebuilt 1.5 litre twin cam. The engine has been treated to a Stage 1 tune consisting of a high-lift camshaft and twin carburettors. Riley components were used wherever practicable and since completion the car has covered some 5,000 miles. Overdrive has been also fitted which engages in all four forward gears making for a total of eight forward speeds. The builder was a tall gentleman & tailored the car to suit his long legs; Unusually at 6ft 3" I am completely comfortable driving the car. It is fitted with a pre-selector gear box which once mastered is a delight to use & makes for a relaxing driving experience. Very very sporting the car has a raucous bark from its exhaust when under hard load & in conjunction with the overdrive runs easily with modern traffic & indeed passes bemused commuters on the motorway. The car is finished in a vivid blue with a black mohair roof keeping things snug. Carpets are in royal blue with grey edge piping to complete the ensemble. To the interior is pale grey leather with everything being in superb order; good enough indeed to have won an assortment of prizes at various shows. The rood & windshield are fully removable allowing one to peer over the twin aero screens for real bugs in the teeth motoring. The car site on four wire wheels with knock off hubs & a rear mounted spare. This is a fully sorted car ready for immediate use. You absolutely have to see this car to appreciate how rakish the lines are & the quality to which it has been built. It is a car that oozes charm from every pore as it races down the road & always attracts onlookers if you are foolish enough to park it for any length of time. |
